Shop Production Foreman

Panda Windows & Doors has been setting the standard in the luxury, custom window and door industry for over 30 years. We are experiencing a period of growth and are actively recruiting an experienced Shop Production Foreman.

The Shop Production Foreman is directly responsible for the day-to-day execution of duties needed to operate the manufacturing of a window and door facility while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, schedule, and quantity standards.

Successful candidates must be hard working, highly motivated, and possess the leadership experience and willingness to train and mentor shop employees.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a Shop Production Foreman:

  • Panda maintains a high standard of excellence for our quality, high-end product. The Shop Production Foreman displays managerial and leadership skills by recruiting, hiring, training, motivating, and disciplining employees as needed to ensure high standards are consistently met.
  • An active participant in the day-to-day shop operations. The Shop Production Foreman is on the shop floor the majority of their day overseeing and reviewing daily work flow and quality of work to ensure efficiency and high standards. 
  • Maintains the highest level of health and safety standards in the shop workplace. Assists employees with all on-site health or safety emergencies. Ensures the shop area is clean, organized, and free of dangerous and hazardous materials. 
  • Assigns duties and directs the daily activities of production employees in the preparation and fabrication of aluminum doors and windows and detail pieces according to provided drawings and detail instructions. 
  • Enforces rules and regulations associated with the job site and ensures optimal efficiency of all shop functions to maintain projected schedules and deadlines. 
  • Safely operates and demonstrates operation of shop machinery such as forklifts and manufacturing equipment. 
  • Creates and manages employee schedules. Oversees the daily workflow and assignments of the production shift. Maintains accurate and updated work records and files. 
  • Processes customer and client work orders. Completes data entry tasks such as entering customer and job information into database and production system. Orders supplies and inventory as needed. 
  • Interacts with clients and customers with the highest level of customer service as needed by addressing and resolving customer issues and complaints. 
  • Assists and directs crew to finish all inspection, repair, construction, maintenance, cleaning, or other tasks involved in shop production to the highest standard. 

 

Work Environment:

  • Majority of working hours will be spent participating in and overseeing production, repairs, and maintenance. 
  • Shift hours may vary as business is expanding. Typical production schedule is 6:30am-4:00pm. 
  • Weekend hours are required as needed. 
  • Metal fabrication, powder coating/painting, and handling of glass will be involved in daily work schedule.

**Drug test is required and MUST be passed in order to be considered for this position.**

 

Pay: $60,000 – $80,000/year

Possesses intermediate computer skills.

High school diploma required.

R

Warehouse, factory, or shop experience required.

Managerial or supervisory experience required.

Knowledge of working with windows and doors is preferred.
