Lead AutoCAD Drafter/Engineer

Our esteemed custom window and door manufacturing company is currently seeking a highly qualified and dedicated individual to join our Engineering Department as a full-time AutoCAD Drafter/Engineer Leader. In this role, you will play a crucial role in managing and assisting in the creation of detailed drawings for our custom products, aligning them precisely with our clients’ specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the workload within the department efficiently.
- Develop detailed drawings in accordance with our clients’ precise specifications.
- Generate comprehensive approval, shop, and installation drawings.
- Collaborate closely with fabrication teams during the manufacturing process, providing guidance on design specifications and offering physical assistance as required.
- Communicate promptly and make precise modifications to technical drawings based on customer requests.
- Coordinate with the team to thoroughly comprehend project requirements, verify design details, and suggest necessary modifications in accordance with company and site standards, as well as industry best practices.

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $27.00 – $32.00 per hour based on experience
Schedule: 8-hour shifts
Education: Associate degree (Preferred)
Experience:
- Revit: 2 years (Preferred)
- AutoCAD: 5 years (Preferred)

QUALIFICATIONS
Possess a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience utilizing AutoCAD 2011 (or newer).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, demonstrating the ability to manipulate formulas effectively.
Exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate seamlessly with various departments such as engineering, purchasing, sales, and manufacturing teams.
Proficient in blueprint interpretation and able to comprehend complex designs accurately.
Excellent communication skills with the capacity to engage effectively with architects and clients.
Highly detail-oriented, organized, and adept at managing multiple ongoing projects while adhering to strict deadlines.
Strong understanding of engineering concepts, principles, and techniques.
Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
