Project Description

On the coast of Newport Beach in Southern California, The Resort at Pelican Hill sits perched upon 504 acres of sun-drenched hillsides. Inspired by the Italian Renaissance architect Andrea Palladio, best known for his grand homes across the Venetian countryside, the resort village features expansive hotel accommodations with panoramic views of the Pacific. The attention to detail was unprecedented with the goal to achieve a timeless, relaxing environment that delivers an experience that is comfortable, satisfying and uplifting.

Like the Mediterranean, the sun-drenched climate of Southern California allows for indoor spaces to open up to the outdoors and panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean. Panda supplied 600 automated Lift and Slide door systems for this purpose. Each system was designed with custom kick-plates, Alder wood interior clad, and a custom color Kynar finish on the exterior for maximum elegance and luxury.
